Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
gud pm Dr. Sree Bhushan.. Iam 39 y/o and undergone ultrasonography. According to the findings my right kidney is in normal size 9.5cmx4.1cm with corticol thickness of 1.4cm while my left kidney measures 10cmx5.2cm with corticol thickness of 1.7cm showing loss of the corticomedullary definition with increase in parenchymal echogenicity. Ther is no demonstrable intrarenal mass, stone or hydronephoric changes. Please help me understand what my ultrasound means? Thank you!
You are reading teachnical parameters on a renal ultrasound, most of the data shown on your study it's within normal range, except for the increase in parenchymal echogenecity, this should be evaluated with additional test, I would recomend you to consult with a nephologyst to ruleout any other anormalitys.
